Our Story

A hometown roofing company built on four generations of hands-on craftsmanship, honest service, and deep roots in Wisconsin's Northwoods.

A legacy of craftsmanship and integrity

It started with a toolbox, a ladder, and a promise: do the job right the first time. Ed Zibolski Sr. passed that ethic down to his son Ed “Etch” Zibolski Jr., who founded Elite Roofing and Sheet Metal in Milwaukee, WI, and became Dan Hecimovich’s father-in-law and mentor in the trade.

We didn't learn roofing from a manual. We learned it on Wisconsin roofs — through blizzards, summer storms, and every season in between. That history is what makes us different from contractors who treat every job like a transaction.

We take on fewer projects than the high-volume crews because we believe each roof deserves time, attention, and a crew that cares about the finish. For us, this work is personal.

Family Owned

Still run by the founding family, with the same family standards on every roof.

Local Crews

Our Roofing Technicians live here. They understand the weather, the woods, and the homes.

Honest Work

No pushy sales. No hidden fees. Just clear answers and roofs that last.

Property Respected

Lake homes and cabins demand care. We protect landscaping and clean up like family.

Four generations

Eighty years of the samestubborn standard.

Scroll slowly. This is where the trade came from, who carried it, and how it ended up on a roof in Tomahawk.

Ed Zibolski Sr. started EZ Roofers in Milwaukee, carrying a toolbox and a simple rule: do the job right the first time.

His son, Ed Junior, grew up on those roofs — learning the trade not from a manual, but from watching his father work.

Government buildings, arenas, and large-scale decks across Wisconsin and Illinois — the kind of projects most companies would not touch.

Dan Hecimovich worked his way up alongside Ed Jr., his father-in-law and mentor, learning the trade from the deck up through the 1980s.

The Zibolski and Hecimovich families opened their Northwoods hospitality businesses, and Dan moved to Tomahawk in 1994 to run the hotels, resort and restaurant.

  4. 2014Generation three

Today — the same standard, on Northwoods roofs.

Dan brought the family trade home to the lakes and ridges of the Northwoods, founding Roof Masters in Tomahawk.

Cabins, lodges and lake homes replaced city decks — but the standard stayed the same: honest work, done right, by a crew that lives here.

Knowledge handed down, not learned on your house.

  5. 2026Generation four

    2026 — 4th generation joins Roof Masters

Quality that stands the test of time.

The fourth generation joined Dan at Roof Masters, carrying the family trade forward.

Same name on the truck. Same promise to the neighbor watching from the driveway. And the same stubborn standard that started it all.

Four generations later, the promise has not changed — and neither has the family standing behind it.

Why the Northwoods trusts us

We know the unique challenges of Northwoods roofing: heavy snow loads, ice dams, pine debris, and the wild weather that rolls off the lakes. Our systems are built for it.
